HE Eng. Abdullah Bin Abbas Visits The Construction Site at The Wave, Muscat

HE Eng. Abdullah Bin Abbas, Chairman of Muscat Municipality and Chairman of The Wave, Muscat, visited the construction site at the project today. HE was accompanied by members of the of senior management personnel of The Wave, Muscat in order to experience the outstanding progress that has been made at the project during 2007.
HE was given a detailed insight into the construction of the project to date beginning with a visit to the main entrance boulevard with the lake flowing beneath, currently under construction. The party then proceeded to the first villas and townhouses.
Other highlights of the visit included a trip to the temporary jetty to the East of the project site. This structure is being used to load barges to take the quay wall blocks out in order to begin construction of the quay wall and marina area.
The Wave, Muscat is being developed through a joint venture comprising Oman’s Waterfront Investments (representing the Government of the Sultanate of Oman), National Investment funds Company (representing the Omani Pension Funds), and the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Group.
Commenting on his visit to the site HE Eng. Abdulla Bin Abbas said “I am delighted with the progress of all the various components of the construction to date, and especially with the high standards and quality of build which is synonymous with The Wave, Muscat, whilst still maintaining the balance of modern living with true Omani architecture and heritage. The teamwork and co-operation between direct employees of The Wave, Muscat and the Contractors is very much apparent and has contributed greatly to the undoubted success of the project and our ability to deliver, on schedule, a high quality product.
