Fairmont The Wave, Muscat to unveil in Muscat

The Wave, Muscat finalised its agreement with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts (Fairmont) by signing the Hotel Management and Ancillary Agreements at The Wave, Muscat premises last week.
Fairmont The Wave, Muscat will be a 5-star luxury resort hotel, and will benefit from being positioned next to the Greg Norman signature18 hole Links golf course. The accommodation will comprise approximately 280 rooms, supported with branded residential offerings, leisure and conference facilities together with a luxurious Willow Stream Spa. The Hotel’s location within the development will allow guests and visitors to enjoy its extensive beachfront and beautifully landscaped gardens. Surrounded on three aspects by superb waterfronts and overlooking landscaped park areas, the Hotel can be accessed directly from the 18th November Street. The signing of the Agreement combines the strength of Fairmont’s technical team with The Wave, Muscat’s Hotel team and together they will use all their expertise to ensure delivery of a world class product synonymous with The Wave, Muscat and Fairmont brands. This agreement reinforces the commitment from both parties to bring Fairmont to The Wave, Muscat.

HE Eng. Abdulla Bin Abbas Bin Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Wave, Muscat and John Johnston, representating Fairmont Hotels and Resorts signed the Agreement. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from The Wave, Muscat and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and the media. Expected to take approximately 3-4 years to complete, construction of Fairmont The Wave, Muscat will provide an opportunity for the local workforce across a wide range of skill sets and will not only enhance the lives of those who will use the facilities but also offer a place to expand knowledge and experience within this specialised construction category.

The Wave, Muscat has received 5 prestigious international and regional design awards in 2007 from CNBC Arabian Properties and Homes Overseas. From CNBC Arabian Properties we received 4 awards for Best Development Design, Best Marina Design, Best Apartment Design, Best Golf Course Design. Homes Overseas Awarded The Wave, Muscat the Best Luxury Development award. The Wave, Muscat, is a joint venture between Oman’s Waterfront Investments, National Investment Funds Company and UAE based Majid Al Futtaim Group.
